ADULT CLASSES

TEEN COLLEGE ARTS DESIGN

TEENS COLLEGE PREP ARTS AND DESIGN

These courses for aspiring artists and designers further skills and abilities, explore the creative process and develop style and means of visual expression. Students at all levels work with professional artists and art educators and receive a strong foundation in basic art and design principles plus guidance in developing strong portfolio pieces. Students can take any or all of the classes.

TEEN FIGURE DRAWING
Jennifer Siegal (JNS-5)
Wednesdays, 1/13 - 3/3, 4-6pm
$210, Members $180

Dive into figure drawing with a bikini or bathing suit clad model and learn traditional methods to render anatomy, capture gesture and show form. Loosen up each week with gesture poses and finish with 20-30 minute long poses, perfect for developing portfolio pieces. Models will hold fun beach props, helpful for anyone interested in animation and translating an active pose. Two weeks devoted to head drawing. Class size limited.

HANDS ON GRAPHIC DESIGN
Lauren Volk (LV-1)
Thursdays,  1/15 - 3/5, , 4-6pm
$140, Members $120

Explore the craft of visual language in a non-digital environment to create powerful design using traditional techniques and methods, such as photocopier, scissors, glue, tape, stencils, transfers and rub down type. Learn about composition, color and type while designing CD covers, advertisements and posters. Great opportunity to learn basic elements of design and to develop an exciting portfolio for college or art school! Bring tracing paper and pencils to first class.
