PRECIOUS METAL CLAY

Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is fine silver (99.9% pure) and 22K gold in workable clay-like forms. Anyone can easily create original jewelry in hours. Learn basic techniques while creating silver ring, pendant and earrings. Pick up supply list.


FREEFORM CROCHET WORKSHOP
Jill Daskalaskis (JD-1)
Fridays, 1/16 - 3/20, 9am-noon

Learn beginning crochet skills and/or expand freeform skills while crocheting shawls, scarves and sweaters. Learn felted freeform, freeform fabrication and pattern development. Bring ideas. Supplies discussed at first class.


SILK PAINTING    
Young Kim (YK-1)
Fridays, 1/16 - 3/20, 9am-noon

Use French dye, acid dye and fabric paint for scarves, garments, wall hangings and more.  Learn special silk velvet burn-out and discharge techniques. Lab fee. Instructor provides patterns as needed. Supplies discussed at first class.


JEWELRY DESIGN: WIRE WRAP & BEADING                        NEW!

Saturdays, 1/17 - 3/21, 10am – 12:30pm

Make professional-looking necklaces, bracelets and earrings, even if you are a beginner!  Learn creative wire wrapping, bead stringing and knotting cords, using macramé and braiding. Design original clasps, ear-wires and handmade beads with paper, wire and paint. Crochet with silk cord and beads to make a necklace. Design, color and craftsmanship emphasized. Intermediate students learn different techniques by making pendants, multi-strand necklaces and chandelier earrings. Learn about gemstones and beads from around the world. Materials cost approximately $20 - $30.


CROCHETING JEWELRY WITH WIRE & CORD

Learn to crochet wire, pearls, beads and semi-precious stones together to create beautiful, trendy jewelry. Make earrings, bracelets and necklaces using a simple chain stitch. Unique designs and artistic techniques discussed. Demonstrations and individual help.   Materials discussed at first class.
