Bring mommy, daddy or grown-up friend and experience the fun of ceramics! Roll, shape, pinch and rub clay and impress it with different textures. Make simple sculptures and other projects. Have fun together and develop new skills.

CARTOONING/MODELING SUPERHEROES

Draw, paint and ink cartoons and super heroes. Give your character a name, powers and story and build a cartoon strip. Bring your character to life in a 3-D clay version. Let your imagination run wild! Fee includes clay. Pick up supply list.

COLORING THE SEASONS

Learn the basics of design, color theory and composition while painting landscapes that reflect the different seasons. Learn to paint water, sunsets, clouds and the night sky. Take home a completed painting each lesson.

ANIMALS IN ART

Learn the basics of proportion and gesture in animals, but  most important, learn to draw what you see. Explore different media each day while creating a moody charcoal drawing of an elephant, a vibrant painting of a cheery parrot, pen and ink drawings of bugs of all kinds and watercolor paintings of whales and dolphins. Imaginations wanted!

Use a variety of tools (charcoal, graphite and colored pencil) while learning different shading techniques. Draw your favorite stuffed animal, an impressionistic self portrait in colored pencil and a gesture drawing of a summer tree. Use simple perspective to create a futuristic city. Pick up supply list.

YOUTH OIL PAINTING

Using water-based oil paints, learn a variety of oil painting styles and techniques from the impressionistic to realistic traditions. Paint a portrait, landscape, surrealistic image and abstract painting. Pick up supply list.

MOVIE MAKING FOR KIDS          NEW!

Produce a short 2-3 minute film as a group. Learn to work from a script, draw and paint story boards, do a little acting, edit the footage and create titles using simple traditional techniques. From concept to final screening, learn pre-production, production and post-production.
