Roof Detail at Corner
The construction of the original building is a wood frame system with exposed timbers and nearly flat roofs. Overall, the original construction has a sort of “hand hewn” quality about it, and the grids of the structural system are clearly evident throughout the facility, except where they have been obscured by later additions and remodels. The original building was quite “architectural”, but much of that sensibility has been lost over time as spaces have been added and converted to new uses.
