The Palos Verdes Art Center offers two kinds of camp for children and youth. First, there’s the ever-popular Art-rageous Camp for children age 5-11. Five or six weeks of camp are presented every summer, with additional programs offered during Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District holiday and spring vacations. Morning (9 a.m.-noon), afternoon (1-4 p.m.) and all day (9 a.m.-4 p.m.; bring your lunch) camps are available. Each week’s theme and activities, designed by art educators, are different.
Half-day: $220 (members $190) morning 9am-noon OR afternoon 1-4pm.
Full-day: $300 (members $270) 9am-4pm (bring your lunch!)

Students will learn to think fast and on their creative feet, with projects including junkyard fashion design, potato chip bag collage self-portraits, tire scrap hats and much more! With thoughtful instruction, students will create solid yet innovative pieces meant to enhance their artistic vision and personal artistic sensibility.
Week 2 July 28-August 1
Let’s learn about the color wheel while making one then create rainbow inspired paintings that shine and sparkle! Construct a colorful caterpillar collage and a beautiful butterfly puppet. Learn the art of tie-dying while tie-dyeing your own shirt and hat!
Have you ever dreamed of a 10 scoop ice cream cone? Paint your own ice cream cone painting then sculpt an ice cream cone inspired by Claus Oldenburg. Make paper mâché popsicles, a birthday cake painting, colorful lollipop sculpture, cupcakes from model magic and more!
Week 3 August 4-8
